MOT Type 1 has crushed gravel stones that form the sublayer for road surfaces and pathways. Durable, this gravel offers a level surface and a load-bearing layer before a top layer of concrete, asphalt, shingle, or block paving is applied. When compacted, the fine mixture also guarantees that there are few voids in the sublayer.
